Scotch Capers, or The Merry Mix-up

Choreography: © Sharon Green, 2015
Tune: Hommage Edmond Parizeau by Marcel Messervier
published in The Portland Collection, © 1997
Recording: A Portland Selection
Formation: 3 couple longways mixer

A1 Partners, up a double and fall back. Partners pivot swing.
[End facing down]
A2 Partners, down a double and fall back. Partners pivot swing.

CHORUS [same each time]

B1 Right diagonals face one another, balance back and forward, and trade places.
Others [W1 & M3], balance back and forward, and trade places.
B2 Opposites [i.e., new partners] face one another, balance back and forward
and trade places.
New partners, gypsy once round.

2nd time through, siding into line followed by pivot swing

3rd time through, arming followed by pivot swing.

Notes: All pivot swings are clockwise.

For those using recorded music: The Portland Selection recording plays the tune
4 times through. For the 4th time through, I suggest a right shoulder back-to-back/
pivot swing, and then a left-shoulder back-to-back/pivot swing. You won't wind up
with your original partner, but you'll have fun.
